An Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Councillor Marie Baker today joined James McCawley, Manager of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Tourist Information Centre, to officially launch their new website www.dlrtourism.ie
At a Celebration of Volunteers event, held on 25th April for approximately 100 nominated volunteers from across the County, An Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Marie Baker said: “I hope that what you take from this event today is the sincere and clear message that your efforts are greatly appreciated by other volunteers, by the people you help in so many ways, by the wider society and by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council”.

2015 DLR Grant Scheme. The Funding was available under the following Grant Categories: Grant Categories: Arts – Arts Access for Youth Projects only, Business Area Promotion, Community Grants, Sports – Major Sporting Events only and Winter Festival Grants. The total amount of funding included in the recommendations is over €445,000, an increase of €43,850 on last year. The breakdown of funding across the various categories of grant is available here
A new framework for public engagement and participation, called the Public Participation Network (PPN) is currently being developed within each local authority area. Community organisations in the DLR area are encouraged to sign up as members to this network which will be the main link through which the local authority connects with the community and social inclusion issues.
